Chinnaswamy Stadium has installed a permanent Wi-Ficonnectivity at the Corporate Box and the Press Box to ensure seamless Internetaccess. With this, corporates and scribes with laptops can continue with theirwork as they watch the cricket match. This time, a permanent Wi-Fi infrastructure has been installed at theCorporate Box and the Press Box. This can be activated when there is amatch."We learnt from our previous experiences that this facilitycame in handy for journalists. This time, we not only expect more journalists touse this, but also ensure that corporates are hooked on to their work as theywatch the match," R.P. Nagaraj, KSCA media officer, told The Times ofIndia. That''s not all. Care has been taken to ensure that journalistswho have laptop but not a wireless access card for Internet access are not leftout in the bargain.
"This Wi-Fi is highly securenetwork. A wireless access card is needed for accessing Internet through Wi-Fiand KSCA has procured 50 such cards. These can be given to journalists withlaptops and it will provide seamless Internet connection," said SrikanthNatarajan, channel account manager, Cisco India. Cisco Systemsworked with their partner Nipun Net Solutions Pvt Ltd to provide theinfrastructure for this offering. The whole project was completed in three days. With this initiative, high-speed Internet access is just a clickaway and so is your work.
